I'm basically looking for headphones for games. Right now I'm leaning towards a pair of refurbished Astro A40's because it has a mixamp that would let me connect to my console and PC at the same time. The headphones are also supposed to be extremely comfortable, especially with glasses. If someone can make a good argument for another pair of headphones, I'm all ears.

**I have a desk microphone so it doesn't need one built in**

What if I got the Astro mixamp, because of it's features and got an ok pair of headphones that cost around $50?

I really want the mixamp because it lets me connect to my console and PC at the same time and it also lets me control the voice to game ratio. It's a better deal to get the Astro mixamp in the package with the headphones (I think). I'm just here to see if there's a better deal or something.

There are budget headphones out there that are heaps better than the mainstream headsets:

What would you recommend?

I'm not an audiophile, so I don't really care about perfect sounds or anything. I just want some headphones that I can wear for a couple hours with no pain. I wear glasses so that makes finding headphones tough.

The MA900 is above your budget but it is stellar in comfort and is perfect for gaming. The DT990 premiums are also very comfy but they are way above your budget. I can only speak of the headphones I have had/tested. Maybe someone else can help you here.
