Best headphones to listen to enya?
May 9, 2016 at 11:04 AM Post #16 of 25

I listen to music mostly at home and while travelling.. price range would be lesser than 300 USD. presently using sennheiser px 200 II, need to upgrade.

thanks for the suggestions.. i was planning to get ATH M50x or grado sr125e..let me check this out!

If you use the SR125 while travelling you need to wait until you get to your hotel room, otherwise, prepare to listen to the music of jet engines, locomotive wheels, and other passengers who do not enjoy what you are listening to.

The AKG open headphones will be far better than the M50X for your listening genres.

For closed headphones, consider AKG K550, K551, or K553. But the open headphones are better. Just not good for using in public.

i searched for AKG headphones in popular online markets in dubai.. the above recommended headphones are unavailable.. can u suggest an alternative brand?

Out of the closed, the Focal, Shure, and MSR7 would be good to consider.

Out of the open, everything but the X2 is worth considering, IMO.

I think you should decide if you are going with open or closed. Open will have better, more immersive soundstage, but not good for using in public.
