Best Headphones for Working & Sleeping on Airplanes

Another vote for earplugs, you're wasting your money on IEMs if you don't actually want to listen to anything. As someone else recommended, get Ety's earplugs - just as much isolation as their IEMs, nowhere near the price.

Seascape, if you haven't heard music in a noisy environment through a set of good IEM's, you don't know what you're missing. It's like the whole world just falls away, and you're immersed in musical bliss...

Cute stewardesses are not helpful for either work or sleeping I might say.

I have the Senn 250s and don't like them much. They cut some background noise out - it becomes a distant noise rather than a full on roar, but the lack of bass and attenuated sound when you turn the noise cancelling mechanism on is not that good.

i take a lot of international flights and my IEMs and foam ear plugs are my best friends on those flights. of course a stewardess would be nice but i don't think i'd get any work or sleep done.

i've also tried noise cancellation headphones and they just don't work anywhere as well as either one of those. the IEMs are great for movies and music since you won't hear anything but the music, not even the baby crying a few seats behind you. NC headphones unfortunately won't cancel out sounds like that. the foam ear plugs are used when i'm not listening to music or when i'm sleeping. Seascape, try the IEMs the next time you fly. i can't fly without them anymore.

A cute stewardess and a ticket to the mile-high club is even better. It's good to do some stretching exercises first though!

On a more serious note my Ety ER-4S has changed the experience of air travel forever.
