And I though people would say Stax with vynil...I mean thats the most sense-making synergy... although the out of your turntable would be at question here big time.

Any comments Carl? (and agreed on the plastic guy)

I didn't said anything about the final outcome sounding like plastic, now did I? I just said (paraphrasing) that there's a synergy with the vinyl source material that's absolutely uncanny and simply amazing!!! No mention of plastic sound anywhere. Please don't put words in my mouth.

Woah there cowboy, I was just responding to your joke with one of my own.

I really need to get my own vinyl rig sorted out sometime. Currently my TT is sitting unused under a bunch of junk in the middle of my kitchen table.

Appart from making pops and clicks pretty apparent and punishing any bandwidth limitations your vinyl rig has, 'stats will work just fine. I wouldn't say there was any special synergy with it, though, electrostatics sound good with most kinds of sources.

No problem Carl, I'm not offended nor am I upset. I'm just glad to see that you got the joke in the first place.

My general feeling on the matter is that if it sounds good with digital sources it can only sound better with vinyl sources.

Yep. 'Twas a good one, too.

Nine times out of ten that's the case, although you do get the odd chap who makes their digital rig really phat and syrupy out of overcompensation for digital's weaknesses.

I'm listening so far on plastic cans Sennhesiter HD202, and even with these vinyl sounds so BIG and beautiful. I will upgrade to Grado RS1's and then eventually buy better Sennheisers to compliment the Grado sound woooooooo

That's probably the best thing you can do
