Hey guys, wondering what the best headphones for trance/progressive house are. I'm currently using hd800's and love the highs for the vocals but the instruments such as guitars etc (which in most trance recordings im guessing are electronically digital/midi) sound more cold/lifeless compared to when i listen to other music with actual instruments.I think my hd800's highlight that and I didn't get this as much with my old he-400's. Anyway looking to upgrade and not sure what to look at. At the moment looking at fostex th900's, hifiman edition x or audeze lcd 3's but can't decide. Anyone used a few and compare them in regards to trance music.

i currently use the HEK. the HD800's are great if you EQ them properly.
