I have been using the v-moda vibe duo and vibe duo control headphones and have had terrible luck, 3 sets of headphones and i am over them besides the warranty runs out soon. Is there a durable tried and true set of headphones for the iPhone or should i stick with my ultimate ears superfi.5s for portable use?

I don't know if your aware, but you can get an iPhone adapter plug that allows you to use any headphones you like. I don't know which set would "match" it in terms of sound quality though.

Ultimate ears make several headsets, like these:

wait till july 11th upgrade to new iphone and use whatever headphones u like lol!
you also get adaptors for iphone to act as mic part of the headphone!!
thus freeing u up to choose what u like
