Hello!

Found my end game home setup (ZMF Atrium with a Liquid Platinum amp), but my new job has me traveling about half of my time and living in hotels.

Looking for a good travel setup that isn't too ridiculous to travel with and set up in a hotel room. Good with iems, open, closed, whatever.

Music taste is 99% female vocals (current rotation is filled with Laurel, Cannons, Vallis Alps, Kiara) and 1% trance/techno music (Bonzai Records)

Can spend around 1-2k.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have the Audio Technica ADH1000x open back and it's got fantastic female vocals. Also the Truthear Crinnacle Zero blue does, as long as your source has a low output impedance and noise floor. The Simgot EA500 are excellent and travel really well, 32 ohm so not picky about source.
For lots of travel I find IEMs are perfect, even the Yincrow X6 I keep in the car sound great with Adele and others for $12. I don't go crazy on travel sets, not much to worry about if lost or broken. Also the Sennheiser Momentum 3 ear buds were really good and incredibly convenient.
