Best headphones for epic orchestral/cinematic music like Two steps from hell?

Hi,
I am using HD598 and considering upgrading to under 500$ headphones with Audiogd amp+dac, I only listen to epic orchestral music like two steps from hell. Does it worth it to upgrade from hd598( no amp/dac) to under 500$ headphones with 300$ audiogd amp dac?

I’d save up your money until you can buy the Sennheiser 800S. There’s only 2 headphones that will make orchestral music sound truly epic. That’s the 800S and the HEK because they both have an incredible soundstage. But the HEK is far more expensive.

I’m not familiar with that amp. But the 800/800S is only 300 ohms. The 800S is not that difficult to drive and is far less picky than the 800. The 800 has a bad treble peak that makes choosing the right amp critical.

Can't talk for the AudioGD amp.
