I am sick and tired of getting earbuds and them breaking or blowing out on me so I am going to finally get some over the ear headphones. I have about $90 to spend but don't know what kind to get. I saw the Audio Technica ES7's and they are in the price range and what I read they sound pretty good. I listen to rock, classic rock, metal, and some techno. So what would be the best pair to get for the money?

well, I might as well add the ATH-M50 and Shure SRH440 in here.

Now, pretty much every new headphone worth buying in the $100 range is listed >_>

I like the Senns, the hd448, most of the other headphones were a little out of price range. I also like the AD700s but they aren't portable enough for me. How are the Sennheiser HD555s? How do these headphones compare to the ES7s?

I'd highly recommend the Grado SR-80's. Best pair of headphones I've ever heard (granted, I've never been within a 100 mile radius of a really high quality headphone). Great price, great build, great sound. What more could you want?

I'd definitely say Grado SR-60i or MS-1.

I'm third'ing the SR-60i or the MS1i, depending on what you want.

I've only heard the SR-60, but from what I've read, the SR-60i's are more straightforward, punchy, rock-designed headphones, while the Allesandro MS1s are more relaxed, neutral headphones.

Just depends on what you want. :]

x4 the SR60i/MS1. Probably the best for your genres.

The AD700 have too little bass for any genre you listen to.

Another vote for Grado SR60i.

Plus, I welcome you to the audiophile world.
