Are the KSC-75s really that good? I'm afraid if I get them they will be so overhyped that I will be disappointed.

I havent heard anything at the same price range that could beat the ksc75. for 15 bucks...these are seriously a steal. they may be too bright to some though.

I'd also recommend to check the Creative HQ-1300 (~ 25 euro over here). And for a closed cheapo, the Philips HP200/HP250 aren't bad either...

I can vouch for the Creative's. I have the Labtec version (Elite-840) and they really are excellent phones. Very underrated. I prefer the KSC75's but only because I'm not a big fan of supra aural headphones, which the Labtec's are. That isn't to say that the Labtec's are uncomfortable. Quite the opposite, actually. Just a matter of preference.
