I use imac g5>emu 0404 usb> corda arietta>hd600 and I love it.
I bypass itunes though and instead use VLC media player. I noticed a significant enough difference that I can recommend it.

yes I did mean volume equalizer which I beleive takes all your music that is at various outputs and sets it to output at one standard level by raising or lowering the db setting. Can you please tell me more about ivolume?

I use a Benchmark DAC-1 and Sennheiser HD650 with my Powermac G5. The DAC is also connected to a tiny Parasound Zamp V3 (designed in San Francisco) and a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers. That's where I do the vast bulk of my listening. You can also find quite a few decent DACs in the $300 price range.

I have been really considering purchasing it. I intended to go to my local apple store to get a free T-shirt on the release day but kind of blew that off

I do!
Mac OS 10.5 seems to run more effective on my MacBook Pro than Mac OS 10.4. So I am very pleased so far.
