Best headphone (+ amp) for Hip Hop? (Price is no issue)

I wasn't getting a lot of replies before and I thought it was probably because people think this is another automatic K518DJ/Marshmallow topic.

I was planning on getting a flagship model (still in production none of that rare stuff) because I just like getting it new. If it's used maybe it's broken because I know someone here got an R10 that was half broken

I got a feeling you'd like a JVC DX1000

Realistic and price is no issue are two entirely different things... especially on this site...

So price was an issue after all eh?

Ask for a recommendation in the $300 range and you're gonna get suggestions for $500 cans... Ask for $500 headphone suggestions and they will recommend $800 cans...

Be very careful what you ask for around here.... If you want something in the 300 range, its best to tell them your budget is $150... LoL

Would the HD650 + Zero be a good combination?

LOL
Since your budget appears to be $500 that might be an OK choice if you don't have a decent source. But really the amp on the zero is pretty lame for demanding phones like the 650. On top of that the DAC isn't all that amazing.
Time to come up with a budget I think...

it depends, if i want ying yang twins(southern rap) , i'll choose dt770 because i like big bass and dt770 can deliver that. if i want the roots or bone thugs n harmony, i'll choose dt990 because too much bass just cover up all the details and everything in the songs. sometimes even the lyrics. hd650 bass is nice but just too slow.

Can't go much wrong with this system imo.
Signature 30.2 => K1000

Will set you back $4000-4500, but thats nothing for someone where price is no issue.
