A nice combo will be the Apogee mini DAC or the Duet with a K702. For used equipment you can check the FS forum and get a great deals.

I can assure you this combo is unbeatable in this price range, you will not regret it. It evens stands its own with some systems worth much more... I wish you the best finding the optimal set-up, though I cannot emphasize enough, that at that price range mentioned, nothing stands close... Cheers mate!

I am very happy with the following gear:

y lite DAC->PPA v2 w/Bass Boost->Senn HD580's w/Silver aftermarket cable

The y lite DAC was bought new from MisterX everything else: used from this site.

I have $560.00 in plus $110.00 for a one tera-byte portable drive to store all my music in a lossless format.

Very happy with my rig...
