Everyone talks about ALAC and other stuff like that. I really dont have that much music and I plan on getting a 4gb Micro. Which is the best one so i can have quality sound?

with the micro, you really don't have many choices, just wav (which is huge), wma (which isn't that good), and mp3 which is good.

I would use mp3 with -alt preset standard. you can use a program like cdex or EAC to rip the cd's

The best format is one that sounds the best to you. The same goes for equipment.

I just use Mp3 with the highest bit rate i can get.

usually though, when i download tracks they are 128kbs, which i cant do anything about, but i rip tracks at 320 kbs

then again, the only other format i can use is ATRAC which i cba with to be honest
