I really love to feel the instruments playing...sound stage is almost important to me as the hearing cymbals and feeling the tom toms and bass drums...I have owned monitors with great sound acoustically, but when any type of guitar that has distortion plays, it sounds like it's taking a back seat.
I like to hear the bass play, not just hear a thump in the lower registers...Don't get me wrong...I love the bump, but not when it takes away from bass guitar...I can always adjust my eq for pop, dance, dub, etc....but for me, rock/blues/jazz and metal need a different breed of monitor/earbud....
Any recommendations would be appreciated...
