Best Ear Buds = ?

IEM = In Ear Monitor. The kind that goes in your ear canal.
Examples: Shure line, Etymotic line, Westone line etc.

Earbuds just rest on your outer ear.
Examples: iBud, Sennheiser MX line.

There are also 'semi-IEMs'. They kinda go into your ear canal, but not as far as 'true' IEMs.
Examples: Sennheiser CX300.

I own a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-CM700ti's and I absolutely adore the sound so far. Separation between mids, lows, and highs is excellent, and it particularly excels in the mids and highs. Highs are crisp and detailed, and the mids give off a surprisingly warm sound. Lows are satisfactory, but, like other Audio-Technicas, it could use a lot more bass.

Overall though, I really enjoy these earbuds, and I listen to all different kinds of music.

Not much as far as quality goes on the market for earbuds, but the talk of the town as far as I've heard are the CX300s. Beyond that, you'll be hard pressed to find anything that sounds as good as IEMs or full-sized headphones can offer.

I never heard of V-Moda before, have you compared it to other headphones?

And how is the new BOSE IE VS the ATH-CM700ti?

When you say BOSE IE doesn't isolate at all, it is like a regular ear bud isolation or better or worse? Because it shape is little different and I assume it should isolate better!
