Need good bluetooth active noise-cancelling headphones that I can also toss in a gym bag over and over and not worry about breaking... this would be for use on the subway mainly.

If breaking is concern I think airpod pro might be good because they are smaller than headphones and will bounce off less inside the bag.

Yeah, I'm thinking wireless IEMs are your best bet there. Full size headphones are always going to be more prone to breakage if handled somewhat roughly, where IEMs being smaller can be slipped inside a pocket in a bag and not subjected to as much in the way of random forces.

The problem is that I don't really like IEMs... should I just go for something cheap and then replace them if they break? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

I use Taotronics wireless ANC headphones. They sound OK, always work, and at $60 I won’t worry when they DO break. Had them 3 years, daily use, worst problem so far is pads wearing some ($22 Brainwavz replacement available).

What about something like a V-Moda Crossfade? Is there any reason why that wouldn't fit my requirements?
