I have the DT770 80ohm version. They are good phones, but not particularly neutral. More like V shaped sound. The details are good. Mids are kinda muffed and bass has a slight boost. The thing with bass, although, is that while it hits low notes and it's punchy, is a little bit...not very well defined. It's a bass guitar, it's a low-drum etc, you hear just "boom". I did not head and sibilance. The overall sound may be defind as "dark...ish". I like it, for close cans. Bass-only : I liked takstar pro 80 better.

nah, the alpha dog are too neutral for my taste. I'll keep the hifimans.

650 might be too dark for me :frowning2:

dt880 might be too bright for me. I detest shrill highs :frowning2:

any thoughts on a durable warm portable headphone under $150?
