I dont see the topic to most here. So I thought I bring the topic up.

BTW.. this is DJ mags top 100 for 2005.

http://top40-charts.com/news.php?nid=19099

Tiesto was the top for a few years and now Van Dyk is on top. "In Search of Sunrise 3" was one of Tiesto best mix albums. The transitions between the songs, the songs choosen, and order all come into play. Very much like art work.

Dutch Glory!
I still think it's a bit weird to call one person the best dj in the world.
I think it's just not possible, it's the same as you say--> he is the best cardriver in the world--> while he only can drive formule 1.

LOL.
thats hysterical.
As for the post, I never listen, belive or respect those silly "top 100" lists. They are almost always based on whack criteria.
It the same thing every year...Tiesto, Timo Maas, Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed...blah,blah,blah.
No offense to any of them-they are great djs-maybe top 50

Its th commercial trancey/house genre that ALWAYS wins the top nod regardless of DJ skill.
IMO these are the tops of all time(in assorted genres-based on skill, influence and crowd manipulation):

1)Richie Hawtin (all time best)
2)Carl Cox
3)Josh Wink
4)Junior Vasquez (only in his prime-not now)
5)Danny Taneglia
6)Keoki
7)DJ Dan
8)Dieselboy
9)Dave Clarke
10)Paul Oakenfold

How Dieselboy didnt make it into their top 100 should tell you something...
