From just looking in the past half an hour, I have realised that the ODAC does not have any documentation for DIYers, you can only purchase completed or partially completed kits. With the Gamma, what does the Gamma2 add to the Gamma1, does it make it much better quality sound?

You can read about the relationship between γ1 and γ2, and how the latter upgrades the former, at the γ2 website. There is also more information in other threads here at head-fi, and at the AMB DIY audio forum.

And yes, the γ2 is a big improvement over the γ1 alone.

Thanks for the info, I have been checking out the website and I'm going to purchase the y1 and y2 PCBs. When i came to finish the transaction, I saw that the shipping/handling is almost double the price of the components. Is there any way to have the parts shipped via a different method? Im not bothered about receiving it quickly as im not going to build the DAC for a couple of weeks anyway.
