Was at target around christmas time with the gf, and spotted a pair of E3c's....for $40.

Wait it gets better.....

Upon taking the last pair to the register, they rang up $19.99!!!

Wow, that is insane. Congratulations on finding that. Did you only get one pair?

Not quite as nice, but I was really excited when I got my K1000s with an extra driver and all original packaging for 500 USD last year. Some guy my father knew through work had gotten them while working for AKG ten years ago, but had only put about fifteen hours on the phones.

I felt a little bad since I'm not sure he knew exactly how much they were going for at the time, but the guy thought he was chiseling my dad, so I figure if he wanted to play that game so be it.

Previously £120 for UM2s (cheap for UK, although $300USD is only a bit more)

£15.40 for Sennheiser CX300s (no way I'm paying more than £20 for canals ever again). Amazon UK still selling at that price (actually 50p less now), although could save £1-2 with marketplace seller who have since retorted (grumble grumble)

Holy moly... Im not a fan of the e3c but for $40... or $19 they're a steal and their flaws can be forgiven IMHO.

MS2 for $135 shipping came out to ~$15. The ebay seller was going on vacation and in a time crunch. His auc had the requirement that the winner had to send payment within 24 hours, or wait 3 weaks for him to return from vacation.

My best deal so far would be the Stax SR-X/MKIII and SRD-7/MKII for €110.

Moving on from prepubescent fantasies...

I never get anything cheap. I pay top dollar and sometimes more. I have the worst luck with audio and getting deals. And usually sell things when no one wants them anymore

Double u tee eff.

I'll pay 40 for it. You make a hundred percent profit, pretty good margins even for a licensed retailer IMO
