Set up:
PC-> MUSE 4X TDA1543 NOS DAC -> Little Dot MKIII -> HD650's
I recently purchased the MUSE DAC and it's fair to say I'm massive underwhelmed by it. After many hours of testing and advice on another thread I've come to the conclusion it's worse than my on board chip set! (Realtek ALC889) I'm looking for the best DAC I can get for under £60 I would be willing to go over a little if the said DAC was substitutional better.
I was recommended this DAC: http://hifimediy.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=123 It seems like a good chip, but I'm willing to spend a little more even if it only brings a small gain as I would prefer a DAC with R/L audio out as I can use proper cables to the amp. Thanks.
