It will be my first time to purchase a portable dac /amp to be mainly used with my sgs 3 via otg cable and my laptop via usb.
I've been hearing good things about the leckerton uha 6s mk ii and at 275 usd with the 8610 op amps, they seem like a good deal. In fact, some in the Leck thread consider it the ultimate bang for buck dac/amp combo for 300 usd or less.
I believe I can spare 350 usd, so I wanted to ask if there are better alternatives in this price range.
I will be pairing them mainly with easy to drive iems like my vsonic gr07 bass edition, tdk ba200, and maybe the gr08 when it comes out.
I listen to music of almost all genres from classical to metal. I value treble extension, clarity, detail, and sound stage. I'm no basshead but I don't want anemic sounding bass either.
Any comments will be appreciated.
