Here's what these specific headphones will be used for:

1.) Laptop use, plugged straight in no amp. I want to be portable as possible.

2.) In quiet areas like laptops and cafes.

3.) Some for gaming so I prefer full sized headphones.

4.) I rip my CDs to high quality mp3s and do not use lossless format. and no amp so I know I'm not going to get the best SQ. So anything that has decent bass and clear trebles is good enough.

2.) Don't really need to be IEMs, I prefer full-sized headphones.

3.) Closed but very comfortable! Comfort is a must while sit there for hours and work on school stuff.

4.) I like bass. But anything that sounds good.

1. Audio Technica has low ohm resistance, and the phone can perform pretty well without the amp.

2. Full sized headphones - that is AT-A series...

3. Closed and Comfortable - again, characteristics of AT headphones. (well lets exclude the AD series...

4. From your price range, you can probably get something like Audio Techinca ATH-A700....has pretty good bass IMHO and has reasonable SQ..

Don't think the AT A series are all that portable..

The OP says he wants full-size headphones. I think that "I want to be as portable as possible" refers to him not using an amp.

A Beyer DT770 is also a standard recommendation for basshead gamers. They have more bass than the Audio-Technica A series.
