Best closed circumaural for <$200

I would recommend the A900 as a good choice for a circumaural phone under $200. They have a great soundstage but not as big as the SA5k. They are really comfortable. They do have a tight and fast bass with quite a bit of slam, though bass extension isn't as deep as say the HD650's. It wouldn't recommend using them outside as they're huge and can become quite bulky if mobility is of a concern. Also the pleather earpads may cause sweating especially if it's warm outside. The A900 like the SA5k are both foward sounding.

The HFI-550s are circumaural and they're really comfortable. The nice part is that you can listen longer without fatigue with Ultrasones. That may help with your problem of you ears hurting after long gaming sessions. I can wear mine for an entire 6 hour plane ride and not have my ears start hurting.
