I prefered the Vitus to the DAVE that I still find less musical, so I bought the Vitus...
later I sold the vitus and downsided to the DENAFRIPS Terminator to save some CASH
but my grall (when I will winn loto) is still the NAGRA HD DAC ( V2 being now called NAGRA TUBE DAC)

Interesting, Im running Dave/Hugo MScaler into Vitus SIA-025 but have that nag to try the Vitus SCD. Problem i have is I don't use CD anymore so feels such a waste. The Nagra is a lovely piece of kit for sure.

Thanks for the quick reply, especially as your post was some time ago.

I run the SIA-025/SCD-025Mk2 combo in my system with Jorma Prime and Statement cables. They sound analogue-like, fluid and have good bass. In Class A mode as you would know, the SIA-025 sounds warm and tube-like once up to optimal temperature. HOV said these two components are "made for each other", and I have no reason to doubt that. Btw, the SCD-025Mk2 is designed as a dac with a drive (albeit a highly modified Phillips Pro2LF), not as a drive with a dac. Also you can order it as a dac only - the model name is SD-025. You can believe what you please of course, but that's a very stereotypical thing you wrote. We've been rolling with our very own factory and our very own staff for years and the reality in there is very different from what you wrote. All good though :L3000:
