What would you recommend in under 500 range , have mobius , not impressed , is there anything better ?
I need something for work . active NC is a plus .

Yeah. I could recommend a pair of ANC headphones which is under $100. Maybe it is too cheap for you but I love it! It is iTeknic ANC headphones whose model is BH005.

I have the Sony wh-1000xm3 and would highly recommend them. If you can wait a couple of months, they will probably announce xm4's. They are definitely more of "ANC headphones that sound really good", instead of "good sounding headphones that also have ANC", if that makes sense. I unfortunately don't have much to compare them too. I tried out the Bowers & Wilkins PX, which sounded great, but lacked the good ANC I was looking for and were pretty uncomfortable after wearing for long periods.
