im fairly new to the headphone industry, so i dont know much. i love listening to music and hearing what the artist originally wanted you to hear. the only somewhat decent headphone i have used is the bose triport. ive been looking around for the best closed headphone that doesnt need an amp, and is around $150. if anyone has some first hand experience or know of something that they have heard good things about i would greatly appreciate your opinion.

Two come to mind, the Beyerdynamic DT770/80 and the Audiotechnica ATH-A700. They both go for about your range and don't really need an amp. These two in particular are really good and always highly recommended, at least for being closed and in your price range.
