Excellent headphones. I love my "Argon-like" T50rp mk3. An Argoned T40RP mk3 would fit's OP's requirement for between $220 and $342 depending on options.

Another great headphone and pad suggestion, but like my HE400i is far from closed. With the HE4XX at $130 and Sundara for OP's budget, it's hard to recommend the older models except as used deals.

You are correct. I’m not sure what I was thinking suggesting a very open pair of headphones. Maybe because all of my headphones have been closed back until the Hifiman’s and I forgot.
