I have decided to go with WA22 for my balanced HD800, I just love the tube glows at night. Another reason is to add a bit of warm to my DAC1.

Great jc, did you place your order yet? It's time for some tube hunting for the WA22 on Ebay or somewhere else now.

One step at a time. Pick out a great amp now, upgrade your source later. It's not a race, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new balanced rig, even with a DacMagic.

If I were in your shoes, if you can afford the Woo I would do it and nip any future upgraditis in the bud. The company has an outstanding reputation and the WA22 is supposed to be great. It is expensive though...

I'm still considering all options and the money ofc.

The Little Dot MK VIII SE seems very interesting too. (No one talked about it til now)

Hmm DacMagic was the best DAC I found for the money, I'll upgrade in the future maybe with a DAC-1.
