Hello,

I am curious which DAP would be best around $1000. Could someone compare me ibasso dx220, cayin n6ii, astell kern se100, se200, sa700, and kann cube? There are so many astell kern DAPs and I don't get the difference between them..... Which one of these would have best sound quality? I am trying to use it for Odin IEM which has 2.5 mm balanced terminal

Wow QUAD DAC! That just sounds crazy from the numbers!

It is a trick to lower the SNR.
As ESS have a 8 channel DAC, some use this in a 2 x 4 topology instead of a 7.1
The idea is DA conversion is never ideal.
Let 4 DACs do the same job, the tiny differences between their output is the "error"
Remove this and your SNR improves
