Just wondering what's the best amp for Senn 580 for under 150 bucks.

My second question is that we often say amp brings out the quality of music. Since no can can produce a flat frequency response at full range, does it mean the amp helps can produce a flat frequency response besides boosting the volume? In other words, which feature(s) on an amp that's responsible for the quality besides volume control?

1 - Gain (any reasonable audio level without audible distortion)

2 - Soundstage (better defined left to right, top to bottom, and front to back placement of vocals and instruments)

3 - Detail (improved clarity at all listening levels)

4 - Bass (Extension, definition, control)

5 - Dynamics (lends the playback performance additional punch (intensity) for added realism and enjoyment on musical peaks)

6 - Empty your wallet (If you get caught up in headphone listening using separate amplifiers, be prepared to part with a significant amount of your cash. That is, unless you build your own amp from a kit, or buy one used).

7 - Make you want to upgrade the rest of your system: source, cables, and headphones - all of the above.

LOL! That reminds of a scene in the Simpsons when Grandpa comes over and they figure out where Grandpa is going to sleep. Every family member in turn says 'Bart's room', and when Bart's turn come he says 'dumpster'.
