Hi, I own some HP700 and I was wondering what a good desktop amplifier for them might be, considering I can't spend much (portable is fine too, if it can be used as a desktop amp) my budget is around 50-100 euros which is a little  more than dollars i guess

those seem to be pretty efficient headphones. perhaps try a cmoy? jds labs makes them for 60$ and if you get an ac/dc transformer you can plug it into the wall and use it as a desktop. other than that, take a look at the fiio e9.
good luck

i have never used an e9. its just a relatively well regarded affordable desktop amp thats in your budget. the e11 is a portable. i do own one and it sounds just fine to me. i didnt suggest it because it cant play when charging, which kind of makes it unfit for desktop activities wouldnt you say?

I was checking ebay, and I found http://www.ebay.com/itm/Desktop-12AU7-JRC4556-Valve-driven-cmoy-RA1-headphone-amplifier-amp-warm-tube-/190815147000?pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item2c6d7813f8 and http://www.ebay.com/itm/12AU7-JRC4556-Valve-driven-cmoy-RA-1-headphone-amplifier-real-tube-warm-sound-/190815146320?pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item2c6d781150 would any of you recomend them? they seem really good, though the choice falls on http://www.ebay.com/itm/Desktop-Headphone-amplifier-amp-Cmoy-24VOLT-VARIABLE-BASS-BOOST-RA1-JRC4556-/200908741886?pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item2ec7181cfe too, as I'm not much of a basshead, and the desktop valve cmoy has some bass boost.. which one would you guys recomend? (if theyre good at all for the price

while fred_fred is a well known maker of home made amps, he doesnt seem to provide any specs on the amps you listed, not even output impedance. i personally wouldnt get either of them simply because of that...
