Hi Everyone,
Looking for an amp for my Denon AHD2000.  Currently have a HRT MusicStreamer > Schitt Lyr for my Seneiser HD650 and Fostex T50RP.  Looking to buy a Amp/DAC or Amp for the Denon AHD2000.

Suggestions ?

Thank you.

So far, tied one vote each (1) vote Gustard H10 and (1) vote Audio-gd NFB-11.
Any suggestions for other amps/DACS to add to the poll ?
Thanks!

Why not just plug the AH-D2000 into the Schiit Lyr?

The Denon AHD2000 do not do well with the Lyr, lots of background noise and hiss.  I have heard the same from others that the AHD2000 do not pair well with the Lyr.

The Lyr works well with the Sennheiser HD650 and the Fostex T50RP, not so well with the AHD2000

Did you put the Lyr on the low gain setting?

Anyway, the Schiit Magni 2 or O2 (Objective 2) headphone amplifier can easily drive the 25-Ohm AH-D2000.
I would assume the HRT Music streamer is a good DAC.

Thank you PurpleAngel,
I have the Lyr I, which doesn't have the gain setting.  I have the 250 ohm AH-D2000

Have you heard the O2 with the AH-D2000 ?

Thanks!

Never listened to the AH-D2000, but most who do really seem to like the bass.
I own the O2, it can drive all my headphones, 32-Ohm to 600-Ohm.
So it should be able to drive the 25-Ohm AH-D2000 to an ear splitting level.
