Best albums of 2013! A not so different take on this!

I've been wandering in relative ignorance in these last years musical reality.
I' haven't heard most of the albums mentioned here yet, but the few I've heard are pretty much agreed, Autechre, My Bloody Valentine, Boards of Canada, Tim Hecker, etc...
I'd just want to give a special mention to 1 or 2 more albums:

You Are Eternity from Dadub
Technically brilliant and very engaging work of electronic music/sound design.
Very very interesting stuff coming out from Stroboscopic Artefacts label in Electronic/Experimental Techno scene.

Bish Bosch from Scott Walker
This is certainly an acquired taste but everything Scott Walker has done since "Climate of Hunter" is only cementing him as one of the most brilliant and singular singers-songwritters of the last decades. One of the few who's trully exploring new musical ground IMO.

EDIT: Oops! I just realised that Bish Bosch was actually released in December 2012... but I still want to mention it, it's not fair to let it go unnoticed.

I'm in full agreement with you. I wish more singer/songwriters aged as gracefully as Walker has--he's one of the few 'classics' who isn't embarrassing himself by singing about the same things he was singing about 40-50 years ago. He is genuinely carving out new lyrical and musical territory, not just compared against his own discography, but generally speaking. There's a very painfully funny directness to his art that keeps me coming back for more, in spite of how absurd/obscure his music can be. I hope he lives forever.

Fester’s Favorite Things

The holidays are long gone but it's never the wrong time to sing along to this timeless tune from The Sound Of Music

Aged bourbon on rocks and blood thickened warm Glog
Oysters on crackers and cheese stinking of bog
Spine crushing Black Sludge and green alien beings
These are a few of my favorite things

Iggy’s leather skin and Norse men’s silky hair
Ozzy’s damned soul and Doom filled with despair
Barrel aged stouts and the devil’s black wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Lemmy’s hairy warts and trolls under mountains
Toxic Yeti farts and porter filled fountains
Headhunting Savages with feasts fit for kings
These are a few of my favorite things

When the Gods smite
When Kanye sings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad
