The White Album which is my favorite album of all time is framed by two very mediocre songs....... Back In The USSR and Good Night.......very unusual that those two lack of quality songs made it to the placement on such an astonishing record.

I disagree a bit with Good Night. Granted, it's not that great, but in a sense it leaves a feeling of contentment and peace, especially after listening to Revolution 9. I do agree with Back in the USSR though. I don't really enjoy this song, even after learning the story behind it.

Actually, I find that there are many albums where I really like either the opening or closing song, but not both. There are even several where I really like the opening song and second to last song. Maybe I just don't want the music to end?

Anyway, I few I could think of off the top of my head:
  1. The Chemical Brothers - Dig You Own Hole
Block Rockin' Beats / The Private Psychedelic Reel
  2. Coldplay - Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends
Life In Technicolor / Death And All His Friends
(I especially like the way it starts and finished with pretty much the same passage of music)
  3. Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
All The Love In The World / Home
  4. Clint Mansell - DOOM Soundtrack
C24 / You Know What You Are (Remix)
