Hi I am new to both the audio world and these forums. I was researching headphones around the $35 price range. I found the Panasonic HTF600 and the Superlux 681 ( The regular red ones are closest to $35) These are the best I've found. Can anyone else help me find some good headphones for this price or cheaper if it applies. Thanks a lot.

I'd save up and get either the Koss Porta Pros or Shure 440.

A little pain now in saving for longer results in greater gains down the road in this hobby,

I own a pair of Sennheiser HD 202 headphones and they're only $20 on Amazon right not. They're not audiophile quality, but they're amazing for the price, and have done me well for a few years now.

I'm going to disagree here. The HD202 is pretty mediocre, even at $20. I suggest getting a Monoprice MHP-839 if you want to spend $20. The other suggestions in this thread are significantly better headphones than the HD202.

The Superlux HD681, Koss PortaPro, and Monoprice MHP-839, all mentioned above, are your best bet for good SQ on the cheap, The PortaPro, however, may not fit your design preference, being on-ear and quite, ehm, distinctive. The Monoprices are a re-branded Kicker HP-541 and are a great value, and the Superlux HD681, while not as recommended as the open HD682, is still a good can for a better price.

Instead of the HARX700, you should get the HAM750 which is much easier to drive. I think the HAM750 is $41 on Amazon. Instead of the Superlux HD681, you should get the Samson SR850. It is also made by Superlux, but is a better headphone. It is $40 new on Ebay with free US shipping. The JVC HAS600 is circumaural on some people, however imo the JVC HAS650 sounds much better even though it is supraaural. I think these are around $28 and $34 on Amazon.

The Koss KSC75 is bass deficient, however if you like that sound signature but with more bass then get the Koss KTXpro1. It is essentially the KSC75 with a headband instead of earhooks. The headband pressure against the ear increases the bass. The JVC HAS160 is a great headphone for around $10. I like it better than the Portapro. For around $42 on Amazon you can get the Sennheiser PX100II which is vey nice sounding, however I have a slight preference for the JVC HAS650.

In addition to all the great suggestion already in this thread, I would like to throw in the Panasonic RP-HTF600 (Currently $31.38 on Amazon). I can't vouch for them myself, but I have heard many good things about them. This thread has reviews on them from a fair amount of people. I actually have a pair on order, but it won't arrive until Tuesday.

EDIT: I'm a noob who can't read, you mentioned them in your original post. Well, at least you have a link to a thread with plenty of reviews on them so my post wasn't completely for naught.

The KSC75 doesn't have much sub-bass, but plenty of mid-bass.

Why would you need something easier to drive than the HARX700? 48 ohm impedance with 105 dB/mW sensitivity. With the half a volt most DAPs will output, that's plenty of volume.
