My set-up will be like this:

Ipad/Imac
Aune T-1 DAC/Head Amp. I’ve never run a speaker set-up like this, so I’m assuming I’ll just be plugging them into my Aune T1 and running them from there? If not, then from my Imac.

Best active speakers for Mixing and also Casual Listening? I’ve been thinking of the Focal FX, but I really hate the way they look. Are there any decent DIY kits for powered speakers?

Thanks

I've spend the last few weeks trying to figure out what 2.0 setup to go with my new Audio-GD 15.32 DAC output.
Emotiva Airmotiv 4, at $300 seem to be the best at the max of your budget.

I myself just bought some MP5 (Monoprice 5") studio monitor speakers, normally $165.
They seem to be rebranded M-Audio BX5s (a or D2? the D2s sell for $300).
So far the MP5s seem to worth the price (I was lucky to get them on sale for $132)

There are some good deals on used 2.0 monitor speakers on eBay.
