Nope - easy to drive but they do scale well

Cool because I'm having a he'll of a time choosing a mp3 player. I hate touch screens so much. So I may just. Stick to my sands clip for now and just change my headphones now I'm using some 7 dollar sonys .

Sennheiser HD58X are a great value. Good for rock and Heavy Metal. Very easy to drive. My phone drives them pretty darn loud.
