My co-worker just got a 2-gig ipod nano and he thinks the stock buds are good, so I've made it my mission to set him up with some decent headphones. All he's ever used before are whatever cans came with his CD player, and he originally said he'd like to spend $50 but I convinced him to raise his budget to $100. Personally I know nothing about IEMs since they're not my cup of tea, but he said they definitely have to go in the ear. It would also be nice if they sounded good with his ranchero/mexican pop which is mostly what he listens to, and I think it's a given these IEMs will be unamped. Whatcha think??

MSRP $99, but you can get them for $68 shipped from idealsound aka discountheadphones.com I'd recommend the Shure e2 / e2c. Highs that can't be harsh, and a good amount of bass for a fun listen.

-They're also extremely efficient.

if you want a very detailed warm and sweet sound, ER6i will do the trick. if you want bassier, less detail, more "fun" then superfi 3's

ER6i's are still the one to beat under $100 IMHO

It's the most balanced out of the IEM"s, has decent accurate bass, has the best highs.

If you look on Headroom the er6i having the highest rating.

Agree and got a pair for my mother. She loves them and I thought for the price they are great.

Amazon has the ER-6i's for $85 shipped...I ordered mine yesterday. Best price I could find on the web. Buy.com was close at $90 shipped, although I did get a 10% off coupon today from them...always happens after I bought someting already.

LINK

Add it to your cart and it comes up $84.94.

I read all the posts here and decided the Ety ER-6i's were the ones I wanted for my iPod. I've been using the Apple In-Ears (which was an improvement over the stock buds) but as soon as I put on my SR-60's I'd be reminded how much better things can sound. Much thanks to all the posters here in this great community.
