I have an Audigy for gaming, etc, but I'm facing the prospect of my PC being my primary source for a while. I've seen a lot of mention of M-Audio (Revolution mostly), so I guess my question is this- if I'm willing to spend $50 more, would the "Audiophile" (with the RCA cnxns) be worthwhile or would it not give any notieceable improvement?

Thanks, and sorry if this has been covered before... -rodbac

mia should be better than AP24/96 but you forgot about Delta 410, which goes for just $100 these days and is certainly a great performer

theoreticaly possible, but practicaly not.. it's too short to significantly degrade performance..

Unless you have an external DAC, you can't use those RCAs that are on the card...they're the SPDIF input/output jacks. Anyway, I second the 410 as a great performer. Better snap one up soon, as both Musician's Friend as well as Newegg seem to be running out of stock.
