I have $350'ish to spend. Def getting a Loki. To fine tune my cans. Was thinking of getting some 770 Pro 80 Ohms. Only $129 on Amz. Or is there something better to spend my money on for what i'll have left after the Loki.

Magni 3, Topping D-50, 400i, 6XX, SR325e

Hi,

My opinion the senns are better. I had the 770 but I went to 58x and 660s.
In what way to do you want to upgrade?

Soundmagic HP151 headphones, like an improved DT770.
Or Soundmagic HP200 (open) headphones.

My "Upgrade" is basically to try something new. New cans, etc. I'm happy with my DAC and Amp. I'm getting rid of my Grados. I don't like how they sit in my head. I'm tired of iTunes. And want to try Audirvana for Playback, Organization, etc.

Well, the Loki is out for now. I'm gonna install Audirvana on my Macbook Pro. I'm moving my catalog onto my Mac from my PC. It's main function will be as my Source. I'll find a EQ plugin for Audir like Equalizer APO. Also I game at night. So I wanted some OE cans. I decided on the DT 990 Premium 600 Ohm (great price on amz). I will eq down the Highs. A friend has some. Man, it's nice on the ear. And the sound is crisp. The bass has some punch. But is tight. No EDM bass. Anyways, I could hear the boots crunch on gravel, boards creaking, hear a re-load and instantly pin point the direction it cam from. The upper mids blend nicely with the highs. Then those spikes. Ouchies! The cans and a nicely built RCA (1 ft) pair for the D-50 and Mag 3 will be my upgrade/Xmas present to myself.
