I want to get the opinion of all the TC-7510 owners out there about how the amp in it stacks up to say, on board pc audio (which I'm currently using).

This will be my first amp/dac and I don't want to be disappointed. I would be using it with DT770's, and am looking for great improvement overall, especially with bass.

It would be connected via TOSLINK to my computer.

any input would be a great help.

While the amp section in the 7510 is nothing special, it'll be much better than your onboard.

I've compared listened to the Beresford in my home on my phones.
As a H/Phone amp against the likes of the G&W TW J1 or Little dot 2++ (both of which I own) - It can't compare against either of these as a H/Phone amp. As a DAC it is really good though.
Forgot to say - phones are Senn's HD650's / Grado SR-125's

However, I ordered the zero earlier today, we'll see how that works out.
