I currently have a pair of Sony MDR-V6 and use the integrated audio on my motherboard. (ASUS P67 Sabertooth - Absolute Pitch 192kHz/ 24-bit True BD Lossless Sound)
Would it be wise to invest in an amp for my cans? I was reading about portable amps being not so good as desktop amps/full size amps. So I found this cheap full size amp. Would this make my headphones sound any different or better than what I currently have setup?
I have read on this forum that the MDR-V6 doesn't necessarily need an amp... but I am still curious as to an amp vs the integrated audio on my MB.
