Hi guys, I have not been here for a while. I understand that Beat's suck and I know all those overpriced and good headphone brands... I wanted to know what all the hype was about the beats I went into my local apple store and saw a pair, I tried them on they were very comfy but bad barely any bass!!!! What's the fuss about these beat's they said they had so much bass, I will admit they did not sound muffled but did sound like sub $70 headphones. Even my (overpriced) Bose on Ear headphones for £119 had MUCH better bass than them.

The amount of bass from the Solo HD depends on what track(s) are played, what gear is driving the headphone, and what version of the HD you are listening to.

One can see that the Solo HD should have plenty if not excessive bass seen as the rise in amplitude from 150Hz back to 10Hz.
 
Did you take a pair home and give them a try with your own gear / music?  An Apple store hardly seems like the ideal place to audition a headphone.

I went on YouTube and put a bassy song on but I forgot what it was.
 
And no I would never buy a pair XD
