I'm stuck between mixr or solo. I tried the solo 2 and I quite liked it. I wanted the mixr but many says they are uncomfortable. Are they really THAT uncomfortable? I would want a balanced sounding headphone or a good mids headphone. I tried the momentum and urbanite on ear and honestly they sound worse then beats to me. Any other recommendations if you think beats sucks? I would also want a good looking(or at least decent) pair of headphones. My audio source is my Redmi Note 4G phone with topping nx1 amp.

If you think the beats sounds better than the Momentum or Urbanite just buy it.
No point buying something if you won't enjoy it.

Personally I would consider the moral choices of purchases too.
I'd much rather my money goes into the pockets of a company that invests into audio research and design of better sound and better headphones.
Instead of a multi billion dollar company that puts marketing and fashion above all else.

Isn't this the fifth thread you've opened to find your future purchase???

I would strongly suggest to revisit your first post/thread instead of spamming the forum with similar/identical posts on the same topic with the same goal.

I've never heard either of them.

I've only read that the solo 2 isn't too bad, and the mixr is pretty poor.

I think Tyll on innerfidelity was fairly impressed with the new solo2.. the measurements back it up fairly well.

If I had to do a blind purchase, (and there were no other headphones left in the universe) that's the one I'd go for out of the two. - but it's a totally uninformed choice.
I know nothing about their comfort or build quality.

I remember with a brief demo of the Mixr's and the Solo 2's that I liked the Solo 2's more though not by much.

And yes, the Mixr's were pretty uncomfortable for me.

I didn't really like either, as I thought vocals sounding way too distant and recessed for my liking and the bass was way too much even with the newer variations.

Not to say that you shouldn't buy them though, but as for the Solo 2's or the Mixr's I would go for the Solo 2's.

If only the mixr were available for testing in my country XD. Only tested the solo 2 which actually sounds damn nice compared to the supposingly better momentum and urbanite

Assuming the Mixr/Solo2 is your price range

New
• Philips SHL3300BK - cheap but high quality basshead headphone - this is not a joke, it's a damned good headphone.
• Panasonic HD10 (maybe a bit too big)
• Sony MDR-1R
• Onkyo ES-HF300
• Skullcandy Aviator
• Sennheiser Urbanite XL

2nd-hand
• Sennheiser Momentum M1 (over ears)
• Bang & Olufsen H6
