So, I picked up a pair of Beats Solo 2 on a whim, because I'm looking for a cheap, disposable $100-$150 headphone.

I was expecting this headphone to be a typical V-shaped, "exciting" headphone, but I'm actually finding the treble to be a bit laidback.

Am I crazy? Or is this how the Solo 2 really is? Or do I have a defective unit?

I've heard a few Beats since I got into this hobby and I've noticed they're all just muffled compared to quality headphones. What I notice most is muddy and exaggerated bass, and the muffled treble. TBH there are plenty of options that are much better than the Solo 2 at $150 which are built better too. Perhaps not as slim as the Beats but I think most people would choose build quality and sound over size, provided it's not a huge difference in size
