Hi. I have a Sony external battery case EBP-20 that is seriously corroded (at least that's what it looks like to me). How do I go about cleaning these contacts and such. Thanks everybody for your help in advance and happy headphone listening.

PS I put this thread here rather than DIY 'cause I hoped that the PCDP fanatics (like me

) could best help. If a mod wants to move this, please do.

Chip off what you can with a screwdriver or whatever. Use sandpaper or a fine file to clean the rest. See if you can open the case and pull the contacts out; that will make them easier to sand.

I don't know of any easier way. This is how I've done it in the past.

Hmmm, thanks very much for both of your responses. I'll probably try both of the ideas. There are a couple of small screws holding the thing together, but I also see a few of those snap-clip-things that are really small so I'm a little worried about breaking those. Anyway, thanks again for the suggestions and anyone else out there with ideas feel free to contribute.
