Hey guys,

I'm going to get my friend a pair of earphones/iem. for his birthday. He listens to rap, and loves bass. So I want to give him bass heavy earphones/iem. My budget is under $50.
The cheaper the better! What headphones do you recommend?

All help is appreciated! Thank you!

I will recommend brookstone clear dual driver, which is a dual dynamic driver IEM. Warm sound with great bass!

I believe the JVC Xtreme Xplosives can be had for like $20 on Amazon.

$30 shipped. They get pretty rave reviews from bassheads, and many of them note excellent clarity in the mids and highs as well. Probably one of the better options for the price point.

The audio technica CKM50 is also a popular choice and boasts some low end extension

And there's always the classic CX300II

If I'm not mistaken, I think all three of these (though maybe not the JVC) is covered in Joker's massive comparison thread, so you'll be able to get one thorough opinion stacking these up on a consistent scale.

The Sony EX310, Turbine are pretty good for the price and they offers overall clear sound with deep punchy bass and EX310 has fairly wide soundstage.

Does the brainwavz M4 have good bass?

The bass is absolutely capable of thumping for electronic music with good extension, speed and impact. The bass isn't on a DUNU Hephaes level, nor would I consider it bass head level. If you want bass head material you should be looking at SoundMAGIC E10

Besides the soundmagic e10, are there any other earbuds/iems that are "bass head" level?
