For those of you who have heard both the Sennheiser hd435/415 and the 212 Pro, how does the bass compare?

i have 415 few days ago but returnd it due to cable faults and i auditioned 435 and 205 yesterday to choose for a replacemnt of 415.. i dont have a good source with me (just an itouch in the store) when i audition the 3, it seems that 205 has more tighter and controled bass (i dont know if its because 205 is close hp).. 435 is much boomy and somtimes too much for my liking.. 415 is more neutral, its not a bass oriented hp... i will try to bring my classic and amp tommrw so that i can decide what to choose... ill just update your thread...

hey knights, thanks for the info. i'm pretty sure that the hd415 and the hd435 are the same headphone, except the latter has an inline volume control and flashy red panels. were you able to try the 212 pro? i'm interested to know how it compares.

i dont know if its because my 415 still needs "brake-in", the 435 that i auditioned is test HP's (along with 201, 205, 600, 555), so i guess they are done braking-in

havnt tried 212 but they also has dsplays there but im not allowd to test one because the package is still sealed
